We live in extraordinary times and there is much uncertainty about what will be happening in September. Therefore we have decided to move to a complete DIGITAL CONFERENCE. The conference will take place online during the same days, but the format will change. Authors are expected to record a presentation about their paper before the conference will happen and the digital conference will focus on feedback, discussion and learning from each other.

The IFIP WG 8.5 on ICT & public administration collaborates closely with the Digital Government Society (DGS)  in organizing the IFIP EGOV conference series. The IFIP EGOV conference is an official affiliated DGS conference. The IFIP EGOV2020 conference represents the merge of the IFIP WG 8.5 Electronic Government (EGOV), the IFIP WG 8.5 IFIP Electronic Participation (ePart) and the Conference for E-Democracy and Open Government Conference (CeDEM).The conference focuses on e-Government, Open Government, eParticipation and e-Democracy, but on several other related topics too, such as the role of social media, digital transformation in society, Artificial Intelligence, policy informations, smart governance and social innovation. Several different types of submissions can be made, such as completed research, but also ongoing research, reflections  & viewpoints, posters, workshops. The conference organises a PhD Colloquium and offers a limited number of PhD bursaries. We invite individuals from academic and applied backgrounds as well as from business, public authorities, NGOs, NPOs and education institutions to submit their research papers, reflections, posters as well as practitioner papers, panel or workshop proposals to the topics addressed in the tracks. We welcome interdisciplinary approaches to the conference topics.
