Digital Government Society China Chapter (DGSCC)
On September 17th, 2018, the Digital Society China Chapter (DGSCC) was formally established at the Research Workshop on Artificial Intelligence in Public Sector in Shanghai. DGSCC was unanimously approved by the board of Digital Governments Society on July 26, 2018. The development was initiated by Lei Zheng from Fudan University and a group of scholars and practitioners from university, research institute, non-profit organization, or government in Mainland China.

DGSCC is established for providing services, connecting people and sharing knowledge. It will help the DGS better serve its’ members in China by providing access to academic publications, networks of scholars for exchange programs, speakers, and collaborative and comparative research projects. It will also serve as a venue to connect with the like-minded researchers and practitioners in China, organizing local events, providing interactions for practitioners and researchers in both local and international events. In addition, it will be an important bridge for DGS to disseminate and share knowledge and practice globally, and connect with scholars and practitioners engaged in digital government research.
