Junior Scholar Award Opportunity

The ASPA DGS Digital Governance Junior Scholar Award

The Digital Governance Junior Scholar Award, jointly sponsored by the ASAP (American Society for Public Administration) Section on Science and Technology in Government (SSTIG) and the Digital Government Society (DGS), recognizes a junior scholar (MPA student included) who has made a substantive contribution to improving our understanding of how innovative uses of information and communication technology can improve public governance and public service. The Award includes a cash prize of U.S. $300 and a plaque.

Award Nomination and Process: The Award applicant needs to submit (a) a cover letter (400 words or less) with the names of two references, (b) a writing sample, and (c) an e-mail of support from a faculty sponsor. All the materials in one packet need to be sent to the Chair of the Award Committee, Dr. Yu-Che Chen (ychen@unomaha.edu) by March 3, 2016 for consideration. The final decision will be made by March 10, 2016. The winner will be notified on March 11, 2016. The Award committee will give out the Award at the business meeting at the ASPA conference in Seattle.
