Call for Bids to host dg.o 2018

The Digital Government Society (DGS) hereby invites bids to host the 19th annual international conference on Digital Government Research, known as dg.o. DGS is a global multi-disciplinary organization of scholars and practitioners interested in the development and impacts of digital government:  

dg.o:  The dg.o,  the flagship conference by DGS, is an established forum for presentation, discussion, and demonstration of interdisciplinary research on digital government, political participation, civic engagement, technology innovation, applications, and practice. Each year the conference brings together scholars recognized for the interdisciplinary and innovative nature of their work, their contributions to theory (rigor) and practice (relevance), their focus on important and timely topics and the quality of their writing.

Deadlines & Process 

  • Draft Bid Proposals. Draft Bids are due to the DGS Treasurer on June 1, 2016. Selected bidders will be asked to provide additional information in a Final Bid.
  • The Site Selection Committee and the Board will complete the evaluation of draft bids by July 1, 2016.
  • Final Bids. Final Bids are due to the DGS Treasurer on August 1, 2016.
  • Final Selection. The selection committee will review final bids according to the selection criteria and make recommendations to the DGS Board. The DGS Board will make the final selection by September 1, 2016.
